Enhancing Research with FAIR Data Management

Effective data management is essential for ensuring long-term impact and fostering collaboration in research. In this context, our researchers Prof. Dr. Gökhan Kiper, Dr. Büşra Karaş, and early-stage researchers Gizem Merve Gündüz and Senagül Tunca Taşkıran participated in a Data Management and FAIR Principles training session, organized by the Izmir Institute of Technology Library as part of the Horizon Europe PATTERN Project.

The training emphasized the significance of ensuring that research data is Findable, Accessible, Interoperable, and Reusable (FAIR). These principles are fundamental for promoting transparency, sustainability, and collaboration in scientific research.

Within the framework of the TWIN-IT-ROMANS project, we are committed to adopting best practices in data management to enhance the quality and impact of our research in engineering.

We extend our sincere appreciation to Mr. Gültekin Gürdal, Director of IZTECH Library, and Ms. Begüm Yavuz, Data Steward, for their valuable contributions to this session. We look forward to integrating these principles into our research processes.
